OSSI variety. (C. moschata) Ready to harvest in 100 days. A new Downy Mildew resistant butternut developed by Edmund Frost of Common Wealth Seed Growers. Stemming from a 2011 cross between Seminole Pumpkin and Waltham Butternut, the final stages of selection are ongoing. Outstanding DM resistance, productivity, and keeping quality, coupled with a rich, sweet flavor. Immature fruits exhibit a predominantly dark green color. While they may take more time to transition into a fully tan hue, rest assured that they are ripe when this transformation occurs.

South Anna is a reliable choice to circumvent crop failure in early DM seasons and offers superior, higher-quality yields in years with average DM pressure. Suitable for late planting, facilitating later harvests that store well into the winter and spring. Secure your small (3 g) packet containing approximately 23 seeds of this Open Source Seed Initiative variety.
